He was the co-founder of the graphic design studio Continuity Associates, and was a creators-rights advocate who helped secure a pension and recognition for \u003ci\u003eSuperman\u003c\/i\u003e creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. During his career, Adams co-created the characters John Stewart, Man-Bat, and Ra's al Ghul for DC Comics.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eJames?Steranko\u003c\/b\u003e’s?comics career was short but explosive. Every title and character that he worked on — including?\u003ci\u003eDaredevil,?Captain America,?X-Men\u003c\/i\u003e, and?\u003ci\u003eNick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.\u003c\/i\u003e?— was transformed, visually and narratively. His numerous honors include induction into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2006.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eBarry Windsor-Smith\u003c\/b\u003e began his career by drawing mainstay Marvel characters such as the X-Men and Daredevil in 1969 in the traditional Marvel style. However, in 1971 he broke from the Marvel formula when he started drawing the \u003ci\u003eConan\u003c\/i\u003e series, turning heads with a fresh and controversial stylistic approach and winning numerous industry awards. Part of a young generation of artists that included compatriots Bernie Wrightson, Mike Kaluta, and Jeff Jones, Windsor-Smith proceeded to carve an independent path for himself.
