About the Author

After working as a newspaper reporter in Los Angeles, Carolyn Cory Scoppettone moved to small-town New England to raise her children. Carolyn's debut picture book, Hold This!, was inspired by walks through the woods. In addition to picture books, Carolyn writes poetry, creative nonfiction, and middle grade novels. She lives in Montpelier, Vermont, with her husband, their three daughters, plus two cats, one dog, and an energetic puppy.

Paula J. Becker creates fun, whimsical illustrations for books, magazines, greeting cards, and more. She is a regular contributor to Highlights and High Five magazines, for which she's also created many Hidden Pictures puzzles. She's been drawing and creating stories for as long as she can remember. She lives in Quebec, where she likes to garden, bicycle, and try to learn French. One of her favorite things to cook is pâté chinois (shepherd's pie). Visit her at paulajbecker.com.
