Newman\u003c\/b\u003e (1924–1999) is credited in the \u003ci\u003eGuinness Book of World Records\u003c\/i\u003e as the world’s most prolific comic book writer (more than 4,100 stories). He began writing comics in 1947 for DC and later wrote for, among others, Avon, Fawcett, Hillman, St. John, Ziff Davis, and Marvel Comics’ two predecessor companies, Timely and Atlas. For Dell\/Gold Key, he wrote \u003ci\u003eTurok, Son of Stone, The Lone Ranger\u003c\/i\u003e, and the comic-book adaptation of the Beatles' animated feature \u003ci\u003eYellow Submarine\u003c\/i\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eRobert \"Bob\" Fujitani\u003c\/b\u003e (1921–2020) began drawing comic books in the early 1940s. In the 1950s and 1960s, he became the primary ghost artist at times on such newspaper strips as \u003ci\u003eMandrake the Magician\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eFlash Gordon\u003c\/i\u003e. He worked anonymously or pseudonymously in part because of World War II–era anti-Japanese prejudice. In the 1960s, he drew notable runs on such comic books as \u003ci\u003eTurok, Son of Stone\u003c\/i\u003e; \u003ci\u003eLassie\u003c\/i\u003e; and \u003ci\u003eDoctor Solar, Man of the Atom\u003c\/i\u003e.
