‘Cause what difference does it make to a deep sleeper if you punch a hole real gentle and slurp-slurp real quiet? When the fully sated feeder’s kin catch wind of his safe space for suckling, he realizes that there are matters more complicated than how and when to die. Does Thum’s frail frame house enough blood for the swarm or does devotion to the hive leave Thum a husk? How do you choose between those who are kind to you and those who are just your kind when one lives for the other’s suffering? About the Author

Thomas Stemrich is a writer born and raised in a small Colorado town made famous by a chicken that lived for a year-and-a-half with its head cut off. He is now based out of Brooklyn: a big New York city made famous by pizza pie. He lives for movie theatre cries and Looney Tunes laughs and hopes to bottle both of those feelings in everything he creates. Crusher Loves Bleeder Bleeder Loves Crusher is the culmination of nearly 30 years of collaboration with his favorite artist, Patrick Keck.

Patrick Keck is a cartoonist and illustrator living and working in Portland, Oregon. He loves Halloween and watermelons of all types. His comics include his self-published collection Little Tomb (2019), Peepers (2021, Fantagraphics Underground Press), Dream of the Bat (2022, in collaboration with Josh Simmons, The Mansion Press), and Crusher Loves Bleeder Bleeder Loves Crusher (2024, in collaboration with Thomas Stemrich, Fantagraphics Underground Press).
