Paul Martin, a Japanese sword researcher and curator, is a former member of the Department of Japanese Antiquities at the British Museum, London. About the Author

Nobuo Nakahara was the apprentice of a leading Japanese sword specialist, until 1978, when he went out on his own. He publishes a bi-monthly Japanese sword journal, lectures frequently, and is the author of several books in Japanese.
