A sweeping novel about four generations of a family who live and love on an enchanting Mediterranean island off the coast of Italy.
The House at the Edge of Night explores what it takes to hold together a family against the forces of love and bitterness that threaten to divide it, and what it means to survive on the very edge of European history. A sweep of time, from before World War I on through World War II and the Recession of 2008--the Esposito women fight to protect their magical island, Castellamare. A love story and a spellbinding summer beach read.
