About the Author

Kari Korhonen, born in Espoo, Finland, is a cartoonist famed for Disney comics work. Korhonen has been writing and drawing Disney comics for the Danish publisher Egmont since 1993, where he is best-known for Donald Duckling stories—featuring Donald as a mischievous youngster—and Scrooge McDuck adventures founded on Don Rosa’s Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck series. Beyond Duckburg tales, Korhonen is best known for Winnie the Pooh stories.

Mirka Andolfo, born in Naples, Italy, is a Harvey Award-winning and Eisner Award-nominated comics writer and artist. Serving as Art Director at the Turin-based Arancia Studio, she is the creator of the celebrated horror and fantasy series Unnatural, Mercy, and?Sweet Paprika (Image Comics). Since 2015, Andolfo has worked with DC and Marvel, handling art on such characters as Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn, and Ms. Marvel. As a colorist, Andolfo works for further publishers, including on such titles as Peanuts and Adventure Time—and numerous Italian Disney comics.

Luca Barbieri, born in Genoa, Italy, is a comics writer, screenwriter and journalist. From 2016, he has worked chiefly with the major Italian comics publisher Sergio Bonelli Editore, overseeing such popular Italian fantasy comics as Dragonero. The pursuit of fantasy led Barbieri to Italian Disney titles, for which he has written installments of the famous “Wizards of Mickey” miniseries and—more recently—the popular Mickey and Donald/Marvel crossover event Marvel and Disney: What If?

Vito Stabile, born in Battipaglia, Italy, was a Disney comics aficionado in childhood and joined organized fandom as a high schooler. In 2011 he formally began his career as a writer for Topolino and other Italian Disney comics titles. Best known for Scrooge McDuck tales and collaborations with Disney master artist Marco Rota, Stabile’s creations include “The Wonderful Wishing Crown” (2017), Scrooge’s official 70th anniversary adventure.
